We spent a night in Cognac, yes the famous"brandy" town before heading to the Dordogne to stay with Francis for 3 nights. Sadly, Dave was away working but we had good weather and a great time. We went to a wonderful Michelin star restaurant ( the Dordogne is famous for Fois Gras and duck ) and enjoyed great hospitality and their wonderful home. There are loads of English expats living in this part of France. The hillsides, farm villages and chateaux are most beautiful.
