Into Kruger again but a much later start. On the road to Berg en Dal we spotted a mother black rhino and baby. She charged the car but stopped about 3m short, snorting; before they turned and ran off.None of us was even ready with a camera. We followed them at a distance for a while before they headed off into the bush. Sometime later we came across a car following a big male leopard walking in the road and scent-marking. Very unusual behaviour for mid- afternoon. Our third unusual encounter for the day was a female hyenya suckling two cubs. Hyenas only have two teats so she can only rear two cubs. If the cubs are both female the dominant one will often kill her sibling so that she can take over the pack from her mother.
