The rain stayed away long enough for us to pack up.Two caravans, one car. The Landrover has been flatbedded to Nelspruit for repairs so we did two trips between Satara and Talamati towing with our Land Cruiser. (Advice from Neil to H and A on buying a 4x4 in Africa- make sure the name begins with a T.) We had the most spectacular day of game viewing though from lions on a giraffe kill to baby hyenas to a pack of wild dogs hanging out in the road. Plus way more giraffes than we ever usually see. Putting in the hours on the road surely pays off.Because of the weather we are glad to be in a chalet now. Talamati is my favourite camp in all of Kruger with a floodlit waterhole and only 15 houses. Usually the waterhole teems with game but because of all the rain the animals have no need to come here.
