SA and Neil's 50th

As usual, we were busy, busy, busy from the moment we arrived in SA. We dashed down to the Cape for two weeks to sort out the boat and see friends and family. We spent time at the farm and at Zebula, as well as in Joburg. At the farm, we celebrated Neil's 50th birthday with friends. The Roman Toga party was a great success.

Oktoberfest

We headed back to Munich in the middle of Oktoberfest! The campsite was packed and totally hectic 24/7. Max joined us for a week and we definitely had a great time. We had fun with all our Munich friends and made a few new ones too. I guess that is Oktoberfest for you!

Vienna and the Austrian Wine Regions

Another beautiful city, more good wine and great sunny weather concidering it was late September!

Hungary and Slovakia

Budapest surprised us as one of the best Eastern European cities we had visited. Great architecture, good restaurants and night life and nice people. Eger is a lovely little city in the main Hungarian wine region; a few hours outside Budapest. As luck would have it we got there during the annual wine festival, so we just had to spend a few nights. Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, is also on the Danube and well worth a little stopover too.
