Safari, Beach and Berg
South Africa is really a world in one country. We love December - we have playmates because all our friends and family are on holiday too. We started off with a week in the Kruger Park, with the Maggs family and Stefan and Andrea. Then we had a family weekend on the farm. We spent another week and a bit down in Southbroom at the beach with the Nortjes, the Ratners and the London Greenfields, who unchilled and then chilled out with us. We stayed in such a lekker house, right on the beach, and were waited on like royalty by Florence and Irene. Then we had a family Christmas in Gauteng, before dashing back to Bulwer in the Berg. The haunted, old hotel turned out to be a real find, with great food and lots to do. Then we dashed back to the farm again!!

We tried to slow down the pace, but we did not succeed. We did 2 trips to Zebula and spent time at the farm again. Neil and Tommy also did another bike trip through the Karoo and Free State. We had a fun weekend with one of the boats finally up and sailing. ( so you see there was some work done after all ) The weather at the Vaal was just perfect for sailing with sunshine and plenty of steady wind.
