December in the Cape

December in the Cape was all about family and friends. First up, we attended Cobus and Chrisanne's wedding on a wonderful farm outside Rawsonville. We stayed in lovely glamping tents by the river; what a lekker kuier with Gert and Sharon, family and friends.

A week in Capetown flies by when you're having fun; we zigzagged all over the Pennisula and had some lekker "kuiers" and "catch-ups".

On the 17th, we collected Mom, Dad and Tracy from the airport and checked into our apartment in Somerset West. I don't usually use Airbnb but we had a fabulous ground floor apartment that suited our needs. And the parties and braais continued. We visited family and hosted family. We enjoyed a wonderful family Christmas  at Kerry and Dean's. What a blessing it is to spend great time together with family.
Here's some highly recommended things we did or places we visited which you could add to your list next time you are in the Cape.
*Tasting menu at La Mouette, Seapoint.
*Food and wine pairing at Camphors,  Vergelegen Winery.

* Sunday afternoon live music at The Lookout, Houtbay.
* Penguins at Betty's Bay
* Lunch at Bientangs Cave, Hermanus

* Spier Winery - touristy but still worth it
* Cape Point Vineyards
*Lunch on the verandah at The Vineyard Hotel
*Another lunch on the verandah at Chapman's peak hotel.
* Strandloper Boskombuis, Langebaan
