We were woken up by thunder and lightening at 2am. A massive rainstorm followed. Apparently 90mm fell in this area and our river level really rose, bringing a noisy pod of hippos in.
The weather remained overcast all day but the warthogs,waterbuck and bushbuck still hung out in the garden.
Not all our visitors are beautiful, though.
I cooked beef curry and beef stroganoff which should keep us fed for a few days.
