Lockdown Day 47 - Tuesday 12 May

Trying to create a routine and get things done is surprisingly tricky during lockdown. Without deadlines the days just roll on. Don't laugh, I had deadlines! My life was nicely segmented into different trips starting and ending with long haul flights between continents and punctuated almost daily with reservations, to do lists and friends. Plans stretched out a year or more in advance. Every logistical and administrative detail in place. 8 years as an expat and 12 years wandering the globe. From high-tech Singapore to rural Zambia. And now this...
I did get around to my walk today. On every circuit I did, I kept my eye on two crocs on the riverbank about 10/15 metres from my path.
Back on the balcony, we heard a sudden commotion in the water and the smaller croc caught a huge tigerfish!
Now that masks are compulsory if you go out, I have hand sewn one using fabric from a shoebag. I need to make 3 more.
The fabric headband from Bali works very well as a mask but it's only a single layer.
We haven't left the property in 7 weeks, but we will be protected when we do!
