Lockdown Day 9 - Saturday 4 April

It rained here on and off for most of the day. The warthogs didn't seem to mind.
For those of you who aren't in South Africa, the lockdown here is much stricter than in other countries. No one is allowed on the streets even within your gated residential estate. No jogging, cycling or dog walking. Only 1 person in the car to go shopping. Strict distancing rules everywhere. Grocery delivery is allowed but Woolies delivery dates are a month out. No take-out or Uber eats. Alcohol sales banned. Neil and I are so fortunate not to be in a city or town. Our front "garden" is huge. Imagine how tough this is for the disadvantaged urban communities living in crowded conditions with little or no infrastructure.
We had a Zoom dinner party organised by Jane, which was fun.
I made bobotie spring rolls for starters, oxtail ravioli for mains and Amarula trifle for dessert.
