Lockdown Day 81- Monday 15 June

There was a time not so long ago when  "Around the World in 80 Days" would have been a good description of my life. Now it's more like "Around the House for 80 Days!"
Actually, I'm not complaining because Ximongwe River Lodge is about the best place in the world we could have been stuck for 80 days. I am so grateful. And we are likely to be here for quite a lot longer.
Just stop and think about how bizarre the last 3 or 4 months have been across the entire world. We are living through the  strangest time in the history of humankind. Our lives are going to be different after this and in ways we can't yet imagine.
While most of South Africa freezes, the Lowveld winter is mild. We don't have any winter clothes with us and we don't need any heating in the house but we do throw little blanket over our knees if we watch TV series on the laptop after dinner.
Time for a decaf coffee, a grappa and a chocolate banana brownie to warm us up.
