Lockdown Day 106 - Friday 10 July

Today the weather was lovely with a high of 29°c. How's that for mid-winter?

Google timeline for June...apart from Hoedspruit we also visited Tzaneen and Phalaborwe. How's that for a busy travel schedule?
In the evening Johan called us to see a lioness lying in the shade on the opposite bank of the river. She seemed to be on her own. A Birchells Coucal is nesting in a small bush down by the river. It's fairly tame, coming quite close to the house from time to time. It's usually difficult to see them because they like to hide in a bushy tree.
I tried the Lemonade Scones again and they were light and fluffy this time. Marmite and biltong dust makes a delicious savoury topping.
