Upington

Lockdown Day 287 and 288
Thursday 7 January and Friday 8 January

We left the farm early and had an uneventful journey to Upington. Neil was concerned that with tightening lockdown restrictions the provincial borders would close and we would not be able to do our planned trip to the Kalagadi.
So once in the Northern Cape, we spent 2 nights at Tshahitsi Lodge, which I highly recommend for overnight stops in Upington. These days Kuruman is to be avoided; it's filthy and crime ridden and the dirt road to Kalagadi via Vanzylsrus is in a shocking state.
In Upington, we got the Cruiser serviced and stocked up on groceries and meat. I spent the day catching up on admin and banking too. We are ready for our next adventure.
