Lockdown Day 286 Wednesday 6 January

We had to change our plans...again...No visiting anyone in Gauteng. We spent the night at the farm, repacking and restocking the car.
Those who have known me a while know that I don't do New Year's Resolutions. Instead I kept a "50 things to do before you die" list long before it became trendy to do so.
This year it seems that making plans will only lead to disappointment every time you have to change or cancel them as year two of the pandemic unfolds.
So instead I listed 10 positive things about 2020....
1. I was in THE most awesome place for Lockdown.
2. Neil is the quirkiest, most interesting person I know. We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary in November. We're on this joyride together and we're clearly in this for the long haul.
3. I have THE best friends in the world. And I was able to keep in touch via social media all year. Love you!
4. Our immediate and extended families are all safe and healthy and those who have had Covid are all fully recovered. Love you too!
5. I have not had to go to work. I am lucky enough to have had the choice to avoid public transport, crowded places and hospitals.
6. We got to travel full-time for 12 years before 2020. We have a fairly unusual and unique lifestyle and have enjoyed more freedom and fun than most.
7. I have awesome memories on my blog and Google photos from 2020 and before.
8. I'm good at organising. And reorganising.Technology means I can do all our planning and admin and banking on my phone from anywhere.
9. I love the African Bush even more than before. Some places are in my heart forever and I have learned that I can settle in one place if I choose to.
10.  No regrets. In January 2022, I am going to revisit this list....
