Mountain Zebra National Park

Wednesday 10 February to Saturday 13 February
Lockdown Day 321 to 324

Addo to Craddock is an easy drive. I can recommend De Wilge Butchery for excellent lamb; sosaties, chops and mutton for curry. You can visit Olive Schriener's house. She was a 19th century feminist and author of 'Story of an African Farm.' Neil's great-uncle was the Anglican minister in Craddock and Neil remembers visiting when he was a child, so we took a drive past the church.
Mountain Zebra National Park is just outside Craddock. It's a beautiful reserve with mountains and plains. Mountain Zebra and Black Wildebeest are quite different from their " Kruger" cousins, the Burchell's Zebra and the Blue Wildebeest.
We added a "lifer" to our bird list, the Grey Winged Francolin.
We watched a lot of cricket and tennis on TV and enjoyed the South African series "Trackers" based on a book by Deon Meyer.
I miss hanging out with friends and family. And I dream about being in a bar listening to a live band playing covers.
So it seems I am back into taking pictures of our cooking. Hamburgers. Bruchetta. Mutton Curry and Naan. Lamb Braai and Couscous.
