Festive Season in South Africa

Thursday 16 December 2021 to Wednesday 5 January 2022

No matter where I go in the world and how much I travel I will always be in South Africa at this time of the year. Everybody is on holiday. Christmas with family and New Year's with friends is how it's got to be. 

Paulet and Gavin collected us from the Airport and after doing lateral flow tests in the carpark, we headed off to the farm for the long weekend and a little party or two. 

We spent Christmas with the family at Zebula for the second year in a row.

In Japan everyone eats KFC and strawberry shortcake on Christmas day. Google it if you don't believe me!  That's what we had on Christmad Eve.

We stayed on for New Year with friends. Déjà vu. 2020 and 2021. That's a pandemic for you. We had such a good time. Again.

With excellent food and wine.

And lots of fun and games.

New year, new hair!

While the Covid 4th wave raged on globally, we enjoyed the freedom of our bubble, the summer weather and the great outdoors.
